Lover of Christmas lights? You’re in luck! Metro Vancouver has been busy stringing them up. Here’s a few places that will surely get you in the holiday spirit!
Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge
What:
A zillion sparkling lights adorning the Bridge, Rainforest and the Cliffwalk
When: Now until January 1, 2012 from 5PM – 9PM nightly (closed Christmas Day)
Admission: $25 for adults, $5 for children (6 – 16 yrs), $50 for a family of four (2 adults & 2 children)
Where: Capilano Suspension Bridge, 3735 Capilano Road, North Vancouver
What:
Festive train ride through a forest transformed by two million twinkling lights
When: Now until January 2, 2012 from 3PM – 10PM (11PM on Friday and Saturday; closed Christmas Day)
Admission: Entrance by donation. $9 for adult train tickets and $6 for children, youth and seniors
Where: Stanley Park
Festival of Lights at the VanDusen Botanical Garden
What: Thousands
of lights and decorations as well as Santa’s living room, elves, light shows,
music and more!
When: Now until January 2, 2012 from 4:30PM – 9:00PM every night (closed Christmas Day)
Admission: $13.50 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and youth (13-18), $7.50 for children, $31 for family (2 adults & their children under 19)
Where: 5251 Oak Street at W. 37th Avenue
Jewel Box of Lights at the Bloedel Conservatory
What:
Domed garden with thousand of lights and stunning display of pointsettias
When: Now to January 2, 2012 from 10AM – 8PM (9PM on Friday and Saturday), closed Christmas Day.
Admission: $5 for adults, $3.48 for seniors and youth, and $2.50 for children and family
Where: Queen Elizabeth Park off 33rd Avenue between Cambie and Main Street
Trinity Street Christmas Light Festival
What:
2400-2900 blocks of Trinity Street come to life with Christmas lights and
compete for the honour of best block and house
When: Now until January 3, 2012 from 7PM – 10PM
Admission: Free! Ballots to vote for best house and block are $2.

2400 – 2900 block of Trinity Street in East Vancouver
