Thoughts on the Upcoming Summer Market

As we approach the tail end of the Vancouver spring market, the question that always gets posed is: will the sales activity continue into summer? All signs are pointing to YES!

The weather is April and May has been tragically disappointing; as the sun starts to shine a bit more, there is a good chance buyers will be more motivated to get out and about. This, combined with the Bank of Canada's recent interest rate hold and the expectation that rates may see a bump upward potentially in July, will provide some confidence with purchasers that now is a good time to enter the market.

Over the past couple weeks we have seen activity levels ramp up slightly, both in terms of number of listings and velocity of sales. Should be a fun summer!

If you or someone you know is contemplating entering the market as a Buyer or Seller, call today! The best outcome is determined not by luck, but by well executed planning, I'll be honoured to help.

Kindest Regards,
